The World Eater Ankyron
A compilation of stories related to a place called the New World.
MOGLI's ACCOUNT
It is no lie that the White Moglis have traveled across the world of Spira and sometimes beyond, but there is a place they are never able to get to. The Moglis call it the New World, or a small continent that exists beyond the seas.
It is at the edge of the plane, in which rifts and unstable parts of the world can be encountered. White Moglis often wonder what is at this place, and adventurers question its true boundaries. Everyone can agree though that no one has ever ventured beyond the Paradox Seas to get there, due to the dangers the sea holds.
A famous White Mogli called Mognalian had tried to reach the edge in a small sloop, yet her crew and she was lost to the seas. It is said that there is a storm barrier that forms between the shores of the New World and the seas of Paradox. After that, very few Moglis have returned from the storms and no Mogli has ever come back.
CAPTAIN KHAMINRA
A certain captain called Khaminra had attempted to reach the New World by trying to push through the edges. However his ship and his crew ventured into another world. These small pockets often send adventurers into different places, and sometimes never to return.
He is one of the few that managed to have witnesses who heard of the last moments. A tavern near the New World claimed he had seen ruins beyond. But before his ship could reach the shores, it collapsed.
His ship and his journals are scattered across many scholars, but one thing is certain, he was closer than any person to reach the shores of the New World.
PAN'S CHOSEN
A small cult tried to reach the New World by ship, however its voyage was most unlucky. What makes this group worth writing is that they left numerous enchantments to protect themselves from the storm. They had managed to at least get to the half point by following a pattern of avoiding the dangerous seas, but at the very end before they could see the shore they were unable to push through.
They ended up drowning, and many never wanted to see the shores of Somweyr again after that.
