Red, Head Crafter from Spira, you can you find all crafting professions and recipes.

The woman in a red cape looks at you for a moment before her fingers tap on a piece of parchment between the two of you.

It appears to have some strange writing around it with a perfect circle in the middle.

She then returns to whatever it is she was doing, just standing there, watching and observing the room.

The paper suddenly burns, it's ashes swirling towards both you and Red.

'Red?' you might think to yourself as you learn the woman's name without her ever speaking to you.

Shortly after you hear a response in your mind.

'Yes Chira, that's my name. How can I help you today?

->Woah...

Yes, I'm very impressive. What do you want?

You feel her gaze upon you as her voice spikes in your mind.

'If you want to learn how to make things, I want to make sure you appreciate the effort that goes into getting the materials you'll use.'

She pauses for a moment and looks over at the nearby stove.

'Go fetch me an egg. I don't care if you get it yourself from the nest above this roof or buy it form someone else, anyone can get an egg regardless of what they do.

Hint: You need GP filled up! Go to a Tradesmoogle and get your Daily free GP-Potion. After receiving it, you will find it in your "Key Items". Click on it and "use" it.

Wherever you kept that egg suddeny feels lighter as an egg magically appears in the woman's hands.

'Hmm... it's a bit inadequate when compared to the eggs of others, but it'll do.'

The woman starts to perform a series of incantations on the egg as she can be heard in your mind.

How crafting works:

1 - Make sure to have all the required items for your recipe.

2 - Click on the professions button (top left on the HUD) and select Craft.

3 - Pick a recipe and make sure to have free personal inventory space.

4 - Craft the item.

The woman eats the freshly boiled egg right in front of you before her voice echoes in you head once more.

'Not bad. If you promise to follow the words of my incantation, I'll teach out how to be any crafter you'd like, free of charge.'

'Just give me a moment to wipe my face clean really quick and we'll pretend this never happened.
