Primer on Magic for Novices and Initiates

This tome is ragged and torn, particularly around the binding where it has been opened over and over again. The cover is worn from both time and exposure, but thankfully no pages are missing- though they do appear ready to fall out at any moment.

On the inside of the cover are the words:

What follows is a painfully simplistic, yet well written documentation of the basic principles of magic, as could be understood by anybody who can read. It goes out of the way to explain even the most basic principles, to the point of filling up the pages with what would be considered nothing but obvious and vapid statements to anybody who already has even a vague idea of what magic is.

If not for the sometimes ostentatious verbiage, one might imagine that this book was meant for children.
